But you need to know your specific calorie requirements and keep a record of your daily food intake to make it work. For someone like myself, keeping a daily track of my calorie intake is a hassle. Yes, it maybe hard, however, like said before is extremely important!<br />
First, I record all of my food consumption and activity on a daily basis . I keep a simple daily food log by searching for database that gives caloric information for different foods I eat, and write down all exercises or activities I go throughout the day in order to help myself keep track of my calorie intake and expenditure. Then, I determine my net caloric intake, every day, using the following equation:</h4>
<h3 style="text-align: center;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="color: #008000;">Net caloric intake = (calories consumed) &#8211; (calories expended)</span></span></h3>
<h4>I`m doing everything is my ability and strive to keep my net calorie intake within 50 calories of my daily caloric intake for weight loss.  On a weekly basis, reevaluate I daily caloric intake for weight loss until I reach my optimal weight.</h4>

Using this appropriate simple formula will give you an idea:</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #333399;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">If you are a woman, your BMR =</span></span></h4>
<h4 style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #333399;">655 + (4.35 x weight in lbs.) + (4.7 x height in inches) &#8212; (4.7 x age in years)</span></h4>
<h3 style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #800080;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">If you are a man, your BMR =</span></span></h3>
<h4 style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #800080;">66 + (6.23 x weight in lbs.) + (12.7 x height in inches) &#8212; (6.8 x age in years)</span></h4>

<h4>Next, you would need to determine your daily caloric need based on your activity level, then add these results to the basic amount of calories you burn. Choose your appropriate activity level from the following and get your approximate numbers based on these formulas:<br />
<span style="color: #003366;">1. <em>Sedentary</em> (little or no exercise): Calories = BMR x 1.2<br />
2. <em>Lightly active</em> (light exercise/sports 1 to 3 days/week): Calories = BMR x 1.375<br />
3. <em>Moderately active</em> (moderate exercise 3 to 5 days/week): Calories = BMR x 1.55<br />
4. <em>Very active</em> (hard exercise/sports 6 to 7 days a week): Calories = BMR x 1.725<br />
5. <em>Extra active</em> (very hard exercise/sports &amp; physical job or twice-a-day training): Calories = BMR x 1.9</span></h4>
<h4>Once you have that number you can determine the number of calories you would need to cut per week/day using the following equation:</h4>
<h3 style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #ff9900;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Calories cut per week = (optimal weight loss per week, in pounds) x (3,500 calories)</span></span></h3>

You see, for me it is all about that willpower. Researches show that people  often overestimate their ability to fight temptation, so they don&#8217;t take steps to avoid it, then end up succumbing. </h5>

Well, I couldn&#8217;t resist buying it, and I have to admit this stuff is pretty tasty&#8230; It is creamy and soft, has a rich flavor, low sodium and contains only 2 grams of fat and 100 calories per 2 tbls!!! Very. very recommended product!! plus plus! </span></h5>

You must agree this might make it a bit hard watching your weight and eating your regular, everyday weight watcher diet food especially when there are fewer choices on board! However, on-the-go eating doesn&#8217;t have to result in extra ponds! I have checked around for the best meal options available to choose from while spending long layovers at the airport, and these were my favorite ones as far as taste, saving on calories and not ruin your diet!!! What makes a healthy diet works for the long term is mostly a healthy eating. When I needed to figure it out if my eating habits are good or bad I asked myself several questions:</span></h5>

<h4><span style="color: #ff0000;">What do I drink when I`m thirsty? </span></h4>
</li>

<h4><span style="color: #ff0000;">Do I normally eat in front of the TV or computer?</span></h4>
</li>
<li>
<h4><span style="color: #ff0000;">How often do I eat out?</span></h4>
</li>
<li>
<h4><span style="color: #ff0000;">How fast do I eat?</span></h4>
</li>
<li>
<h4><span style="color: #ff0000;">Do I always finish my entire meal?</span></h4>
</li>
<li>
<h4><span style="color: #ff0000;">How many times do I eat during the day?</span></h4>
</li>
</ol>
<h5><span style="color: #993300;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">The answers to these questions could be very, however each one of us should be as closer as possible to these answers</span>:</span></h5>
<h5><span style="color: #993300;">We should <span style="text-decoration: underline;">drink lots of water</span>, whether thirsty or not, <span style="text-decoration: underline;">or at least drink what is based on water</span>, like green tea or lightly flavored vitemins water. When it comes to where we <span style="text-decoration: underline;">eat, around the table</span> is your best choice since otherwise we tend to be distracted and eat more then we should. When we eat out, it makes it harder to watch our weight and healthy eating since most restaurant food has extra portion, calories and fat. Try to <span style="text-decoration: underline;">cook at home</span> more often, <span style="text-decoration: underline;">eat slowly and listen to your body</span>. You would know when you full and should stop eating. Even if there is still food on your plate! yes my friend, you can save it for later and continue eating once hungry again! This is how you keep your stomach and therefore your metabolism working by<span style="text-decoration: underline;"> eating small meals several times a day</span>. </span></h5>

I wont lie, that lunch box does have a very small portion of food however, it`s the exact amount of food my body needs, and you simply make your stomach shrink and get used to it fast, while dieting or watching your weight on a daily base, especially if planning on having a decent dinner later on that day.  Yes, I`m talking about <a href="http://www.leancuisine.com/Index/Index.aspx" target="_blank">Lean Cuisine brand</a>. With the average of 300-400 calories and 8 grams of fat per box, I get to microwave a fresh, restaurant tasteful dish, with so many versions to choose from, it is absolutely impossible not to find some great versions you like! Those are the meals I like the best after trying almost every Lean-Cuisine dish available out there&#8230; and really, these are my favorite ones which I recommend at least trying: (by they way, did I mention they only cost 2 to 3 dollars a box?!?! not just a diet savor, ha?!)  ENJOY!!! </h5>

I have recentely learnd that each gram of fat is basically dissolving to 9 calories once congest in our system, therefore, when it comes to making a smart choice, as simple as math can get, if a product contains 100 calories &#8220;only&#8221;, but has 5 grams of fat per serving, it means that you get to eat 100 + ( 9&#215;5 )= 100 + 45 = <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="color: #ff0000;">145 calories <span style="color: #000000;">overall</span></span></span><span style="color: #000000;">!</span>  Pay attention to how many grams of fat there is in the foods you buy and eat, since calories are easier to burn, and since eventually fat becomes calories! </h5>

<h5><span style="color: #008000;"> </span>Save time by planning weekly, for cooking 2-3 different meals, then go shopping.</h5>
</li>

<h5>While shopping, save money by start thinking in terms of portions, rather than recipes.</h5>

<h5>Plan on using leftovers in order to create one extra meal.</h5>
</li>
<li>
<h5>Buy only what you Know you`ll eat during that week, considering products you can take to work as well, like fruits, snacks, yogurt and etc.</h5>
</li>
<li>
<h5>Creat more then one dish that build on similar ingredients and cut the fresh vegetables for two meals ahead in order to ease the next day cooking preparation.</h5>
</li>
<li>
<h5>Use your freezer, however split whatever you are about to freeze into small portions put into ziploc sealed plastic bags. Then, you can defrost the correct amount of food you wish to cook that day. </h5>
