Santa Barbara is a beautiful California city, somewhere on the pacific coastline in between Los Angles and San Fransisco, however, this is Not a traveling blog, therefore I would like to mention the real reason why I mentioned Santa Barbara Bay. It is actually the name of a great seafood products company which I am absolutely in-love in their healthy, low fat and low calories Seafood Spread!

healthy_diet_SeafoodIt is delicious and versatile spread, made from high-quality imitation crab with snow crab, bay shrimp, fresh celery, and some spice blend. It is a truly original and unique food product, has some wonderful nutritional benefits and most important thing- I can enjoy having it with some fresh celery sticks and keep up with my daily diet routine!!!

Willpower Secret to Stick to your Diet!

January 09, 2010 By: Keila G. Category: Diet Secrets, Weight watcher`s lifestyle

how_to_avoid_eating_sweetI know you probably haven’t thought about it, but try to think for a moment- Who`s in control- you, or that candy? Is your willpower as strong as you think? It all comes down to how much power the sweet has over you, and you`ll be more likely to stick to your diet once being stronger! You see, for me it is all about that willpower. Researches show that people  often overestimate their ability to fight temptation, so they don’t take steps to avoid it, then end up succumbing.

My secret is- Be realistic and guard against you weaknesses by not buying the treats at all! After all, if its not available- You cant eat it! Good Luck and strong willpower with your diet and weight watching!

Holiday Season- Dieting On-The-Go:

December 21, 2009 By: Keila G. Category: Diet Secrets, Weight watcher`s lifestyle

Many of us travel and fly during a holiday season therefore finding yourself at the airport at that time of the year is very common. You must agree this might make it a bit hard watching your weight and eating your regular, everyday weight watcher diet food especially when there are fewer choices on board! However, on-the-go eating doesn’t have to result in extra ponds! I have checked around for the best meal options available to choose from while spending long layovers at the airport, and these were my favorite ones as far as taste, saving on calories and not ruin your diet!!! How said I can’t make a smart choice whenever I want too?!?

For Breakfast:

STARBUCKS Perfect OATMEAL- plenty of energy and only 140 Calories and 3 grams of fat!!!

For Lunch:

McDonald’s Hamburger. (Yes, I know… Hamburger!!!)- With 250 Calories and 9 grams of fat you can add a side of salad with low-fat balsamic vinaigrette which adds 60 calories and 3 grams of fat to your meal however makes it DELICIOUS!

For Dinner:

PIZZA HUT EXPRESS: !/2 Personal Pan Cheese Pizza will provide you with 295 Calories and 12 grams of fat. Again, it is not a lot of food, and not the healthiest or most nutritious one, however, since we`r trying to keep it low on-the-g0, that is not so bad of choice!

Think Outside The (Lunch) Box:

December 09, 2009 By: Keila G. Category: Diet Secrets, Favorite Chic Secrets, Recommended Products!, Weight watcher`s lifestyle

It`s about time I`ll dedicate a post to write about my favorite weight watcher lunch meal- my best diet savor. I wont lie, that lunch box does have a very small portion of food however, it`s the exact amount of food my body needs, and you simply make your stomach shrink and get used to it fast, while dieting or watching your weight on a daily base, especially if planning on having a decent dinner later on that day.  Yes, I`m talking about Lean Cuisine brand. With the average of 300-400 calories and 8 grams of fat per box, I get to microwave a fresh, restaurant tasteful dish, with so many versions to choose from, it is absolutely impossible not to find some great versions you like! Those are the meals I like the best after trying almost every Lean-Cuisine dish available out there… and really, these are my favorite ones which I recommend at least trying: (by they way, did I mention they only cost 2 to 3 dollars a box?!?! not just a diet savor, ha?!)  ENJOY!!!

Low Fat or Less Calories foods – What is Better?

November 30, 2009 By: Keila G. Category: Diet Secrets, Weight watcher`s lifestyle

low_fat_or_less_caloriesAs a healthy lifestyle fan, while weight watching and dieting, I used to wonder many times wether to choose low fat foods that have extra calories, or go for the less calories products, that often contains higher grams of fat. I have recentely learnd that each gram of fat is basically dissolving to 9 calories once congest in our system, therefore, when it comes to making a smart choice, as simple as math can get, if a product contains 100 calories “only”, but has 5 grams of fat per serving, it means that you get to eat 100 + ( 9×5 )= 100 + 45 = 145 calories overall!  Pay attention to how many grams of fat there is in the foods you buy and eat, since calories are easier to burn, and since eventually fat becomes calories!
